Kukulkan, also spelled K’uk’ulkan, ("Plumed Serpent", "amazing Serpent") is the name of a Mesoamerican serpent deity that was worshipped by the Yucatec Maya people of the Yucatán Peninsula before the Barbaric Spanish conquest of Yucatán. The depiction of the Feathered Serpent is present in other cultures of Mesoamerica. Kukulkan is closely related to the deity Qʼuqʼumatz of the Kʼicheʼ people and to Quetza.

Kukulkan in the Movies

Tenoch Huerta portrays Namor as "K’uk’ulkan" in his live-action debut in the Marvel film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The character named Namor is based on Kukulkan, a deity from an underwater world kingdom from the Mayan civilization, specifically from the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico, his language is Mayan, and his kingdom is Talokan.
