In 2019, Mexican Americans comprised 11.3% of the U.S. population and 61.5% of all Latino Americans.

Although Mexicans are the largest minority group in this country they have the least amount of representation of all minorities in THE U.S in Congress or in the public Media. These same tactics were used during England's rule over many parts it had under its control while it was still an empire.

Divide and rule policy (Latin: divide et impera), or divide and conquer, in politics and sociology is gaining and maintaining power by breaking up larger concentrations of power into pieces that individually have less power than the one implementing the strategy.

The divide and conquer strategy has been widely used throughout history. Both the Roman empire and the British empire played small tribes and groups against one another in order to control their lands and territories. It was used by the Romans when they took Britain, when the British Empire took India, and when the Anglo-Normans took Ireland.

This brings us to 2020, Today we have more Blacks and White Cubans being represented on T.V and in Politics than those that are actually the majority, Mexicans. They don't speak for us nor do they represent our values and culture.
