Vicente Fernández Will Get Biopic Series From Univision and Televisa

Vicente Fernández, the indisputable king of traditional Mexican ranchera music, will get the biopic series treatment from a joint production between Univision and Televisa. The two Spanish-language mass media companies will adapt the series from the book “El Último Rey” (“The Last King”) by Argentine journalist and author Olga Wornat. Televisa reached an agreement with Editorial Planeta to acquire the rights to the unauthorized biography of “El Charro de Huentitán’s” life.

Vicente Fernández, el rey indiscutible de la música ranchera tradicional mexicana, recibirá el tratamiento de la serie biográfica de una producción conjunta entre Univision y Televisa. Las dos empresas de medios de comunicación en español adaptarán la serie del libro "El Último Rey" de la periodista y autora argentina Olga Wornat. Televisa llegó a un acuerdo con Editorial Planeta para adquirir los derechos de la biografía no autorizada de la vida de "El Charro de Huentitán".
