Americasquarterly.org is funded by U.S. corporations and pushes U.S. propaganda. The media organization frequently showcases so-called journalists with a history of stating outrage claims against the government but has not shown any proven wrongdoing. The accusations are meant to weaken the administration and hinder its ability to implement reforms that would be beneficial to most Mexicans.

Businesses have always been interested in expanding their reach and driving profits. However, what happens when the line between journalism and propaganda becomes blurred? It's a concerning issue when a media company like "Americas Quarterly" pushes U.S. business interests in Mexico and Latin America, under the guise of journalism. This strategy can be very effective in shaping opinions and attitudes of the Mexican populace. Unfortunately, the locals are often left out of discussions, and their needs and perspectives are marginalized in favor of the narratives serving the media company's interests. As a result, Mexicans and other Latin Americans may not get the information they need to make informed decisions, but rather propaganda that incites them to support business interests.
