"Dreams"
We all have a dream
like Martin Luther King
Some have the dream of being famous, and having bling
Others have the dream to sing
And many may accomplish their dreams
But in our case our dreams fade away
When they yell out "Leave Go Away!"
And some just look down and cry
Others walk away sorry with a tear in their eye
But i wont have tears in my eyes tryin to make me cry
Im ganna stand up for mu Mexican people with 100% Mexican Pride
Because they cant break me down that fast
And all that goes through my head is the past
Thinking of Emiliano Zapata, Pancho Villa, & Chavez
And all i do is pray
For the eternal peace of those who made us what we are today
Because without them, I wouldn't even be here today
Thats why Latinos have become more than just prey
For those who just like to play & play
With our felings. And don't care at the end of the day
With all the anger and pain inside of us
Because we didnt say what we wanted to say
So here i am today
Thanx to them that made us what we are today
Folow your dreams and don't care what anyone has to say
Because what you say counts
And don't let your dreams fade away

"mexicana"
Una Mexicana, that?s me,
I love my country, my family,
I?m just like you, you?re just like me,
But we differ on society.
We work for you in fields,
We get your fruits,
Your apples, pears, and grapefruits,
We work where it?s rough,
We know it?s tough,
And still the way we get paid is not enough.
So the least we deserve is a thank-you,
We know the risk and for us is the danger.
But it?s the only way to survive,
We want to live, so here I am, alive.
I am proud to be Mexicana.
I will never forget where I?m from,
Nor my raza, or my red blood.
I am proud to be a Mexicana,
I have nothing to be ashamed,
My skin is darker than yours, but my heart is the same shape.
I love my people,
But they will never understand me,
they say I think I?m too good for them,
because of my lenguaje.
I am sorry they feel that way, but it makes sense
Yo soy una Mexicana living in the United States,
And that my friends doesn?t make any sense!
