Now seeing a ray of light
Before there was only pain
Finding reasons to go on
Feelings I can't explain


Times I wanted to give up
Thinking I could not stand
Hadn't counted on you
Reaching out your hand


Use to others turning away
I really need you now
Even though your faraway
Our spirits touched somehow


Sometimes in our lives
We all need a friend
Someone who's always there
On whom we can depend
