Construction of the Tulum Airport in the Mexican city of Cancún, estimated at 15.5 billion pesos (US$770 million), is advancing, and the funding for the project has been secured.
During the press conference of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) on Tuesday (8), Defense Secretary Luis Cresencio Sandoval said that 11 billion pesos had been allocated to the airport this year, leaving little funding yet to be allocated. in 2023.
The Secretary of Defense ( Sedena ) is in charge of building the airport & the military air base near the port area of Felipe Carrillo.
