this is one of my favorite poems..i didn't rite this someone named Tammy R. Burton did hope u like it..
The petals from the flowers all fell to the ground
And the leaves on the trees all turned down
The nip in the air was chilling his heart
As the wind grew fierce tearing him apart
His journey seemed endless but his desire he would hold
Until he found her with a heart lined with gold
The storm was racing through the deep blackened sky
As the cracks of lightning passed him by
He swore to never stop until he found his love so true
He would travel any length and do anything he had to
Years went by and the storm is still strong
And many tears he still cry's for the journey is long
One night as he made a bed in the tall grass near a tree
The sky was silent, with amazement he rose to see
The storm dyed down to a sprinkle of mist
And the animals were singing a harmony of bliss
His eyes grew weary as he laid his head to rest
Soundly sleeping in his damp little nest
Morning broke through, the sun dancing high
The warm misty air brought a rainbow to the sky
He glanced through the trees and to his surprise
A beautiful woman was passing by
She suddenly stopped and looked at him
Then looked to the rainbow between them
For she also was on a journey in life
To find true love trough the hurt and strife
The colors of the rainbow shinned through her hair
And tears were all that was left to bare
He knew in his heart the day was here
That love gave him his last shed of tears
He walked up to her with eyes full of love
As she held up her arms to the rainbow above
She said the rainbow comes after you've gone trough the rain
Healing endless days of pain
And now that I found you after all of these years
I will love you forever
I've cried my last shed of tears
