President AMLO responds to US human rights report attacking Mexico: "It's not true, they are lying. It's pure politicking... they do not want to abandon the Monroe Doctrine, or even the so-called Manifest Destiny. They don't want to change, and they believe themselves the government of the world... They are liars. Don't take it the wrong way. It's as if we started evaluating them in terms of human rights. Why don't you free Julian Assange? If you're talking about journalism and press freedom, why do you have Assange in jail? How is it that an award-winning journalist assures us that the US government sabotaged the gas pipeline between Russia and Europe?"
