With the aim of developing research and joint actions in the improvement of the date palm and the promotion of the Mexican fruit in the Middle East, Mexico and the United Arab Emirates signed a memorandum of collaboration.
During the signing, the person in charge of the Agriculture office, Santiago Argüello, pointed out that the aim is to consolidate and deepen bilateral cooperation and promote agricultural development in both countries, aware of the importance of supporting the date palm production and processing sector in Mexico.
In addition, the upcoming celebration of the First International Date Palm Festival will help promote sustainable agricultural practices, post-harvest management, health control, technology development, research and genetic improvement of this product among producers and agribusiness.
