morning kiss

I've had a bad day
and it went like this
i woke up
but didn't get my morning kiss

I went all day
feeling like shit
then the cops were called on me
for domestic violence

They let me go
with just a warning
I would have been fine
If i would have got a kiss this morning

So I said my prayers
and thanked god for letting me get away
but you haven't called yet
& I haven't seen you today

So I go to sleep tonight
in hopes of sweet dreams
and wishes that tomorrow
I will get my kiss in the morning
