Reflections in the mirror
Something hiding behind my eyes
I feel a little shiver
Soon as I realize
The blackened air around me
Suffocates my dying lungs
I know I?m standing still
But my legs they seem to run
Why must I shed these tears?
Though I smile for the show
Why must I hide these tears?
Only I can ever know
Blood dripping on the floor
I?m back to familiar places
Though I hurt a little more
I?m just going thru the phases
Yesterday I prayed for peace
But now it?s just a wish
I thought the pain would ease
But life is still a bitch
As a child
I smiled all the time
But now as a man
Those days are no longer mine
Something changed along the way
I guess nothing stays the same
I remember yesterday
I remember all the pain
This reflection?s calling me
I swear I won?t give in
This reflection?s taunting me
Why must I hurt myself again?
