It's just a coinkydink. Actually, Mexico is not alone; if you look at third-world countries where their original native people want better representation, it's always those who benefitted previously who are against any change. And in many of those countries where power is concentrated, it's the majority of white people who have run them. It's more about class warfare than anything.

I would agree with it being more about classism; the Old money in Mexico has always been under small but powerful individuals. They have and continue to benefit from the Old Caste system in Mexico.

They hoard all the power in Mexico, and they don't want to share with the actual Mexicans, ie the mixed and Indigenous Mexicans.

if you look at this photo, just like many protests in Mexico that are anti-AMLO, they are white Mexicans doing most of the protesting; the mainstream media isn't reporting that important fact.
