This shit is about my views on religion.. I'm really not for any kind of religion. Nowdays religion is just used to push an agenda. I believe in a higher-power. I just don't think you'll ever know His purpose reading a watered-down, man-made Bible, or any book for that matter. No offense intended to anyone who reads this, just my views. Feedback would be nice. It's more of a rap, but I wanted Latin views on this, so I just dropped it in the poetry section. Peace.
Verse Three:
Maybe I wanna be saved, and truly worship religion//
Maybe I'm an imperfect person, but a person with vision//
Maybe I'm just searchin' these verses for words with some wisdom//
But it just seems that these surpents happen to lurk in the system//
And they conveniently say the media leads you astray//
Yet you probably heard that message on the TV today//
Claimin' you're a demon if you don't help the deacon to pray//
Thinkin' the world is black and white, they just ain't seein' the gray//
Always judgin' me and you based on their own insecurities//
Yet turnin' they cheek when it turns to their own private impurities//
These people don't know what God's help would really be worth to me//
While I undeservedly live my life, workin' through all adversity//
So, I'm the devil in disguise? Anti-Christ in comparison?//
Sins, I have my share of 'em, I'm tryin' to bear with them//
And I ain't tryna say shit that would compare me to God//
But I struggle while I metaphorically carry the cross//
