The heads date from at least 900 BC and are a distinctive feature of the Olmec civilization of ancient Mesoamerica.

At the beginning of the video he almost made it seem that way. but turns and tells the camera its about seeing the similarities. then goes on to interview Black Mexicans that arrived during the slave trade into Mexico. keep in mind many Slaves moved to Mexico because Mexico did the correct thing and made owning slaves a crime. In large part Because of Mexico's strong Catholic faith.

Overall i think its important to remember Mexico is a majority mixed race country. and we should welcome those that are different than us, it will only make us better. Mexico has many European, Middle Eastern and Asian Communities now. That is something that will keep Mexico unique and growing, while America is closing its borders Mexico is has said Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor.

Mexico is ethnically diverse. The second article of the Mexican Constitution defines the country to be a pluricultural nation originally founded upon indigenous peoples. Mestizos (those of mixed Spanish and Amerindian ancestry) form the largest group, comprising up to 60-85% of the total population.

Culturally the Blacks Born in Mexico are Mexicans. They have friendly personalities and are very welcoming. Proving again that Culture is strong in forming a person's character.

Over 2 million Mexicans now identify themselves as Black Mexicans during Mexico's Census.

He was probably baiting his viewers. But, On TikTok I've also noticed this trend from other influencers of trying to culturally appropriate many things from Mexico's history. This is why knowing your own culture is important, so you won't have to grasp at others. it's starting to get cringe.

Trying to appropriate Mexican culture is embarrassing to watch.
