The towne I live in isn?t much different than yours.
A towne where gun shots ring-out as
The police siren roars.
But believe me, it wasn?t always like this.
There use to be good jobs & church going families
and nice lil? kids.
Now its not the same and will probably never be?
Ever since drugs came to our lil? city. The politicians are crooked,the cops really don?t care.
Drugs,gangs & graffiti are seen everywhere.
The schools are nearly empty,but the jails
are filled wall to wall.
Every mother in towne fears that horrible phone call.
Your son has been killed, your daughter
is now pregnant.
It seems like a bad dram, but all of us are in it.
Should we give up, should we all call it quits.
We?re all afraid of hard work and taking care
Of our kids.
Why do dads leave? Why do moms het high?
Why must we keep living this nightmare until we die?
Today's a brand new day,let's start over brand new.
Let's change today,before
e-towne comes
to a town near you.
Let's all go to church before it's to late.
God knows the answer,belive me,hes great.
Hes more powerful than we could ever understand.
put down those guns & pipes and put a
Bible in youe hand.
I promise.His gang is all the back up you need.
Take in the bread and wine,put down that
beer and weed.
please don't take this the wrong way,I know where
you're coming from.
You can't take back the past,what's done is done.
If you do this,I promise a happy life for
your family and you...
