does marriage change the roles?

when you are engaged/married do the rules of the relationship change? are women suppose to cook and clean? aswell as hold down a job? i mean our mothers did it right?.. so its normal? are men suppose to spend more time at home or communicating more with his women? does sex really become a scheduled event? is it really 50/50? or more 75/25? do men see marriage like how women see it? what do yall think?

i think it's a 50/50 thing because if the wife is at work & the man is the 1st one home he could start dinner or help clean up the house till the wife comes home!
