Andrés Manuel López Obrador affirmed that he has no proposal to occupy the position for the highest of the Court in Mexico after the current leader Arturo Zaldívar leaves his post; however, according to President López Obrador, any person who occupies the presidency of the Court must be honest and give priority to the public interest over the individual interest. AMLO trusted that the next president or the next president of the Supreme Court should not release criminals like other corrupt individuals in the institution have done in the past.
