The Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Marcelo Ebrard, will be in charge of attending the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II , in England, on behalf of the Mexican government; reported President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
In his morning conference at the National Palace, the president commented that they will send their good wishes for the beginning of the reign of Charles III after the monarch's coronation. However, he remembered that funeral acts come first.
After the death of Queen Elizabeth last week, López Obrador sent his condolences to family, friends and members of the British Royal House . Through his social networks, the president sent his condolences to the peoples that are part of the Commonwealth, and recalled that the monarch was the sovereign of 14 independent states around the world.
