Ok. Why get rid of the nukes?

The bid I posted has been closed . Most likley they have a bid they like .

in other words the stimulus is putting people to work and if they get the loan which as you pointed out they will probably have to do credit is starting to flow. he has balanced a negotiation for a massive reduction in nukes with wrangling the recession to a halt. to top it off gm's payed back their loan five years ahead of schedule with interest. smart moves.

If a storm damages your storage building in your back yard . And the insurance pays you $5000 for repairs . But you can fix it for $2500 and a contractor charges you $4800 . What are you going to do . ?

Would you say technically it is fraud? Or at the very least it's poor oversight by the government.

I would not call it fraud . But calling it an oversight ? Maybe !

If they spend the money for what its for .What I am trying to say is if they get a million bucks to build a fire station and can get it done for $750,000 . Take the rest and build a play area in a park thats one thing .But on the other hand take the remaining money and give as a bonus,or some nonsense crap yes its a oversight.

I think the government should give the money and then audit to make sure the money was used for what they (the "borrower") said it would be used for. Went this morning to bid on a job for a city project . The government gave them about 1.1 million bucks from the stimulus to get it done . They said they would not accept any bids over $600,000 bucks . It can be done in that amount . This decrease in price will most likely result in less people doing the job . Go's to show how the stimulus is not creating jobs .

Oversight? That is okaying bilking taxpayers out of hundreds of thousands. You are no Hero to Americans, conservatives or anybody else. Sorry.

That's what's wrong with this stimulus is people willing to pray off of the government same thing that got us into the housing bubble in many ways with relaxed standards for housing loans and predatory lending.

Obama is trying to help not line your pockets. Neither are the rest of us.

Give it back and turn yourself in.

i agree it gets to the topic fish surf was talking about as the fact those jobs are stimulus jobs it shows, credit is flowing somewhat and people are being put to work with stimulus funds. so it shows he is very much interested in jobs and is having success at doing so as did the bailout for gm who has paid the money back five years ahead of schedule with interest. good topic fish surf.
