Suing School Because She is a Lesbo

Is this really necessary? The school has a policy and has decided to uphold the policy. Get over it already. Besides, now some hotel owner is giving up space for free to host the prom just for the lesbo.

I think the school should be able to enforce the policy it has on the books, if an individual wants to challenge said policy then the issue should be taken up through the proper channels AFTER this years prom.

Maybe the policy is not right, but neither is it for 1 individual to ruin the prom for the rest of her classmates. Waiting to the last minute to challenge the school's rule- seems very calculating on her part!

This is just another example of the "fvck everyone else, I'm just worried about me" attitude that is becoming so common in society.

While the ACLU's actions may have been admirable in the past for fighting to defend not only one side of freedom of speech and freedom of expression but both sides no matter if they disagreed with it or not, they have merely become a shadow of their former selves now.

However it is a prom folks! It is a rite of passage of sorts and every student should be able to wear what they wish.......A tux? Big deal..really?


And there are many students who go stag, in groups..and just because this girl wanted to take her love interest whom happens to be female, the SCHOOL is going to be so petty as to cancel the Prom altogether? Who is doing what to whom?

This person just wanted to attend a function with the person of there choice...so again who fawked up? Over reacted? GEEEZ!

And I don't pretend to be an "all wise knowing" one but, I can see when an organization that used to live up to it's name in the past, merely plays on liberal sympathies to get public support in the present to reinforce that they are an organization that fights for "justice and equality", when in actuality it's the opposite.

The ACLU is supposed to defend the people's constitutional rights, not picking and choosing cases in which they see fit to their own advantage.
