Mexico is a country that has been tormented by violence, criminality and drug cartels for years. However, there's a chance that Mexico could turn things around with the introduction of a second amendment. This amendment would give Mexicans the right to bear arms, something that is currently prohibited by their government. In this post, we will explore the positive outcomes of allowing Mexicans the right to bear arms and its potential for fighting against cartels and securing their country from invasion.

Firstly, the ability to own guns would help citizens protect themselves from criminals. Currently, only police and military forces may have firearms, which limits the citizens' ability to defend themselves during dangerous situations. If citizens had access to firearms, they could protect themselves, their families, and their property. It would also prevent their vulnerability to attacks at night when police service is limited. This extra layer of protection could result in a reduction in crime, violence, and even kidnappings.

Secondly, the right to bear arms in the hands of law-abiding citizens could aid in the war against drug cartels. Drug cartels are illegal and, by their very nature, they use weapons to maintain their power. If legal gun ownership becomes more accessible, the cartels might be less eager to fight with citizens. Their power would be reduced when met with armed resistance. In the end, this could decrease the cartel's financial influence and eventually dismantling their criminal empire.

Thirdly, a second amendment in Mexico would benefit the country regarding its relationship with the US. Mexico shares a large border with the US, and due to being a significant player in the Drug War, they are vulnerable to US influence. The Right to bear arms will put them in a better negotiating position with their Northern neighbor and help them to avoid an ill-conceived invasion under a false pretext. America has a long history of invading countries to enforce its interests, and Mexico should be aware of this. Mexico should protect itself.

Finally, allowing Mexico the right to bear arms will have a positive impact on the economy. The arms industry is substantial, and Mexico could benefit from it if given the chance. The introduction of the Second Amendment would open up the Mexican market for arms and ammunition. Such an industry would create jobs, stimulate the economy, and ultimately enable Mexico to compete in the firearms market with its current technological and industrial infrastructure.

The idea of giving Mexicans the right to bear arms can be intimidating, as fears of gun violence and the increase of the influence of the cartels might arise. However, the pros of a second amendment in Mexico provide a compelling case for such change. It could reduce crime, help the fight against drug cartels, provide better security for citizens, help Mexico bargain with the US, stimulate job creation and encourage fair competition in the firearms industry. All of these benefits far outweigh the sole reason for the current gun ban, which is the prevention of violence. It is time for Mexico to reconsider its position on firearms, and maybe the country could make a massive step towards security and peace.
