Mexico's ex-Economy Minister Tatiana Clouthier was pushed out for being too cozy with American trade representatives & she also didn't coordinate with other Mexican institutions and wanted to make Mexico's trade decisions on her own. Some are even saying she sold out to the U.S and pushed for giving Americans what they wanted during most trade deals, she had lawyers present when she turned in all her documents involving trade deals with the U.S.

I think it was more to do with her family having a big Agriculture background in Mexico, which should have made anyone suspicious when she was doing trade deals regarding American GMO Corn. She probably couldn't get a favorable deal done for America, so she decided to quit.
