Well, what I am wondering is why Obama's focus is on political relationships wih other countries? Why is this so important to Obama? But yet, the state of economy for the United States does not matter? Americans are out of work, losing their houses and going hungry. Enlighten me please.

Now I believe Fish Surf intended this to be about Obama's intentions regarding the nuclear treaty agreement. In fact Grape Ape just quoted it right above me. I don't believe it was just to put a feather in his cap any more than any other president who has sought to reduce nuclear arms with Russia including George HW Bush. There was some measure of it, but mostly I think it was for the good of a nation. Give the man his due for slam dunking it there.

Sure the unemployment rate was supposed to drop we were in the worst recession since the Great Depression. However in one year he not only halted it but dialed it back from beyond 10% back to below it. Slightly but still below it. However in a year he stabilized it that's great. He saved/ created jobs as GM proved as one example. And let's see the republicans, my party, wanted to do what? Oh yeah just let the economy collapse. Sure let the big banks and insurance giants just fail. Right. What do you suppose our unemployment rate would be at now? I'm a Republican, but I'm glad he initiated the stimulus.
