Hmm? Nearly all of the human trafficking is coming through the southern border. And by human trafficking, I'm talking about young Mexican females being brought to the US to become "sex workers". They're raped by coyotes, then sold in the US. There are estimates that around 100,000 girls, ages 7-12, are brought to the US to become sex "workers" each year.
American citizens on the border are arming themselves, not because of the immigrants, but because of the drug traffickers. There are some ranchers along the border that have as many as 2500 people pass through their property each year. They find corpses of those the coyotes left to die, rape victims, etc. These traffickers are armed with automatic weapons. I would, too, if people were coming near my house with fully automatic weapons.
DoeMemba, these issues don't exist on the northern border.
